FRANCIS, Jane Ann, 87 of Union, passed away peacefully Friday, March 27, 2015. Jane was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years Richard "Dick" Carl Francis in 2001, her parents Russell and Esther (nee Huff) Kinnear, sister Julie Heywood and brother-in-law Lester Hornsby. Jane is survived by her loving family, son Douglas "Chief" Richard Francis of Union, two daughters and one son-in-law Lindy J. Johnson of Union, Lisa and Dennis McDowell of Medway. Jane was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years Richard "Dick" Carl Francis in 2001, her parents Russell and Esther (nee Huff) Kinnear, sister Julie Heywood and brother-in-law Lester Hornsby. Jane is survived by her loving family, son Douglas "Chief" Richard Francis of Union, two daughters and one son-in-law Lindy J. Johnson of Union, Lisa and Dennis McDowell of Medway. Also surviving are her grandchildren and their spouses Kerri Ann Francis, Alicia Johnson and her longtime partner Brandon, Krystal Hamblin, Allen Johnson, Jimmy (Brittany) McDowell, Joey McDowell, Jude McDowell; great-grandchildren Parker, Olivia, Layla Marie, James Carl; brother James Russell Kinnear of Dayton, sisters-in-law Dorothy Hornsby of Utica, OH, Peggy Williams of FL; brother-in-law William Heywood of CA; nephews Tom, Rod and Ken Hornsby, Carl Williams, Steve Heywood; nieces Kim Williams, Kathy Smith, Karen, JoEllen and Kim Kinnear, many dear friends at Trish's and Grand Lake St. Mary's. She was a registered nurse for many years at Miami Valley Hospital, was a graduate of Christ Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati, was a longtime teacher and Head of the Medical Arts Department at Patterson Co-Op, test administrator for the US Government OPM, past president of the West Milton American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and past president of the Dayton USO. There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME ENGLEWOOD CHAPEL, 675 West Wenger Road Friday, April 3, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. A Celebration of Jane's life will be Saturday, April 4 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Reverend Leroy Chambliss celebrant. Entombment will follow in Royal Oak Mausoleum, Brookville.
